Love the Podcast

I love this PodCast. Tara is so authentic and transparent when she speaks about her journey with her own business. The interviews are fantastic. I am a CPA and have been a C Suite Exec turned entrepreneur. I love how this podcast focuses on What Works in the Entrepreneur world.

Becoming a Super Fan

I am so excited to have found this podcast. I've been listening for a while now and have been binging it as of late. Take that Netflix! Tara is fantastic at really looking at the nitty gritty details of running a business. I really appreciate her authenticity and the way she draws that same sense of authenticity and candidness from her guests.

Favorite New Podcast!

I was first drawn to this podcast because I love the idea of overriding guru-culture. Go Tara! I appreciate smart humble people who are constantly willing to learn while sharing their successes and failures. As an avid listener, it’s obvious Tara McMullin embodies the philosophy she spreads. Most successful business owners are on a journey of ups and downs. Getting to witness these highs and lows along with honest conversations about what works (and what doesn’t) is useful for small business owners across all industries and platforms. The guests are well-chosen and the conversations are focused in a relevant manner. This is a podcast I can choose over and over again for my dog walks and never be disappointed.

Brilliant

This is the ONLY business podcast I listen to and recommend consistently. Tara is a genius at creating a space for real business owners in the thick of things to share exactly what they are doing in their business, in a way that is genuinely illuminating for any business owner, however far their field is from the interview subject. In a sea of annoying/fluffy/advice driven business podcasts I can’t stand, I am so grateful for this one!!!!

I wouldn’t miss a single episode

I don’t have a lot of time to listen to many podcasts. So I am very picky about the ones that I listen to. I would not miss an episode of Tara’s podcast and in fact I have to backtrack and watch all the ones I’ve missed since I’ve only recently become familiar with her. But every episode I’ve listen to thus far resonates with every bone in my body. As a full-time touring musician and educator specializing in music for early childhood, my days consist of more than practicing, trust me. I have to pay attention to my business, my productivity, my self-care, and more. Thank you Tara - the way you show up, your vulnerability and the value you provide are priceless.

This is my favorite place to learn about business

I've stopped listening to a lot of business podcasts that only offer advice but never miss an episode of What Works because this podcast raises the bar for conversations about business. I benefit immensely from listening to these candid interviews with small business owners and always take away new ideas or things I want to try in my business.

Wonderful Podcast!! One of a kind

This podcast is one of my favorites available. Tara is an excellent interviewer and I often forget I’m listening to an interview because it feels like two friends having a conversation. Episode #196 with Bonnie Gillespie has a ton of actionable content and is refreshing and inspiring. Great podcast all around!

Finally, a podcast I won’t tire of

I can’t exactly remember how I stumbled upon the What Works Podcast and Tara but I’m so glad I did. As a newer entrepreneur, but someone new to the concepts of online marketing and business, this podcast is truly a breath a fresh air. Love listening as Tara has candid conversations with real people about what’s working for them and their businesses. Oftentimes, they’ve taken the road less traveled, which is always a reminder there isn’t a one-size-fits-all way to run your business. Nothing but pure gold in these episodes with no agenda other than sharing stories that may help other small business owners succeed.

There is so many podcast on "how" to run a small business and they all seem to say the same. This What Works podcast is different because Tara dives into what works and sometimes what doesn't in a variety of different small businesses. Love hearing the stories behind each business, what is working for them and what their plans for growth in the future. Lot's of valuable true business information. One of my favorite podcasts.

A Must-Listen for any Small-Business Owner

Tara has a no-BS approach that is all about transparency and (ahem) what WORKS when it comes to starting, building, growing, and running a small business. You won't find "magic 6-figure formulas" or other smoke-and-mirrors BS, but REAL stories about what works for REAL business owners. Tara is the real deal. She's not a guru -- she doesn't try to get you to copy her; her goal is to get you to find YOUR OWN answers. So much more powerful, if you're willing to put in the effort. As with everything Tara produces, this podcast is authentic, super high-quality, down to earth, and top-notch. One of my all-time faves.

I love the conversations Tara and her guests have on this show. It's not every day you get to hear the honest, unvarnished truth about what's working in someone's business, the changes they've made, the lessons learned, and so on. Highly recommended for anyone who wants an inside peek at others' businesses to find ideas for their own.

Not the same old business podcast

I love What Works for two key reasons: The diversity of guests (in terms of people diversity and industry diversity), and the emphasis on identifying the specific levers that make each business work. Inspirational stories are nice, but I'd rather learn what's REALLY working for small businesses!

Love the contract shop episode!
