Fanastic Resource!
If you’re looking for inspiration on how to be an intentional entrepreneur, this is the podcast for you. I recently listened to episode #407 about going slow and it stopped me in my tracks. Tara’s analogy of baking bread encouraged me to take a longer walk that day and has stuck with me ever since. I tend to go-go-go as an entrepreneur and her words have helped me slow down and embrace whatever moment I’m in.

Honest, Intelligent, Insightful, Authentic…Must Listen.
Thank you Tara McMullin for the immense amount of time you must put into researching, constructing and producing each episode. My new favorite episode is #386 about Getting Paid as a small business owner. 🙏🏻Thank you for discussing Wages vs. Profit, as well as the actual cost (and toll) of being a creator, and the fallacy of passive income.
I spend a significant amount of time de-programming my audience and clients about what it really takes to have a “passive” income and the size of audience they need to make it a viable revenue dream.
You also gave one of the best breakdowns of how an S-Corp operates.
While we might disagree on what a “fair” profit margin is, I appreciate your point of view. We need to understand what we are really trying to create through our businesses and it is not just MORE.
My inner intellectual is grateful that you have more thinking, researching and writing time. Thank you for the art you are creating through this podcast.

Insightful
This is one of the most well-researched and thought-provoking entrepreneurship podcasts I’ve ever listened to. You can tell how much research and thought goes into each episode. Each time I listen I come away with new ideas and questioning (in a good way!) what it means to be a business owner in the online space.

It is clear that this podcast is created with very clear intentions. Each episode I’ve listened to is well researched and thoughtful. The thing I like best, though, is that Tara asks more questions then she gives answers. This is a podcast that you listen to as a prompt for personal reflection and continued exploration. Not one that instructs you what to do or how. I’m here for it.

I recently discovered Tara’s show What Works. I love the emphasis on taking listeners behind the curtain for real-life tales of building a more effective, sustainable, and profitable business. Systems and processes are some of the most overlooked aspects of building a business, and it’s so helpful and interesting that Tara and her guests share examples that go against the status-quo.

Forget the hype, this is what REALLY works
Showing others that they can ditch the formulas and decide what works for them via their lived experiences is close to my heart. Your podcast is doing exactly that and liberating others from the idea that they have to fit into a perfect and predetermined way of working, doing, and being. I love hearing each guest explore the ways that they have landed on what works for them and the diverse range of exactly what it that is!

Not the same old
Most entrepreneurship podcasts seem to exist in a bubble of friends that bring on the same people to tell the same stories. Tara brings on a wide variety of guests, find gems hidden within their story, and dives deep onto specific topics instead of focusing episodes on someone's general story. It's easily the best business podcast in my feed BY FAR.

Tara is top of the class
Tara is a master at bringing together knowledgeable, generous business owner who have worked hard but also intentionally to build their businesses — and are willing to share it all. This podcast is so well done and ties in beautifully with the What Works community discussions.
